Judge Phillips
Judge Daniel Phillips grew up in Englewood and Clayton, OH. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 2001 and the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2005. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Phillips spent 17 years as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office. During his career as a prosecutor, Judge Phillips handled cases in Juvenile Court, Area Court, and Common Pleas General Division, prosecuting everything from speeding tickets to aggravated murder. Judge Phillips was elected in 2022, taking office on January 3, 2023. Judge Phillips has served on the Butler County Bar Association Board of Trustees, including a term as President. Previously he also volunteered with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Southwest Ohio and served on the board of trustees for Jewish Family Services of Greater Cincinnati, a non-profit organization that provides social services to people of all religious backgrounds. |
